This is the first watercolor painting that I was ever truly happy with. Watercolor takes time to learn to understand the dynamics of, and even more time to get it to do what you want it to do when you want it to. At least it did for me.
This lighthouse is at Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia. I painted it for my mother in the holiday season of 2016. It measures 5″ x 7″. I matted it with a cream mat and framed it in an 8″x10″ brown frame. She’s thinking about having the image printed into a shower curtain.
